A Lovely Thank you…..

A lovely thank you

There is nothing more rewarding in my job, than hearing the words, “thank you, I feel great!” And recently I received the most lovely thank you, from the most lovely lady. Christine is one of the most self less women I have ever met, going through long term treatment, still working full time running a care home and keeping her situation to herself so as not to worry her family. Her attitude and outlook on life are wonderfully upbeat and I am so glad I could help her feel even better at this time.

Her first appointment, we went through our usual consultation process, trying in various styles close to her own to find the right cut for her, and the right colour. We made a shortlist of favourites and placed her bespoke order for her to return the following week and choose her personalised wig.

Christine was really happy with all of the wigs we ordered in for her and we had a difficult choice in finding the final winner as they were all so good! Once she had chosen, we gave the wig a trim and personalised it to suit Christine perfectly and she was ready to go. We had a really nice time getting to know each other and everyone was really impressed with the final result. I thought that was all I would hear from her as she left so happy, but was so pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely card in the post a few days later. Filled with lovely kind words about her experience with me and a very generous voucher. I was so touched to receive such a lovely gesture I was once again reduced to tears! As we had been a few times during our sessions together when discussing life and various other topics! It feels amazing to be able to help women to look and feel like themselves during difficult times and really is the whole reason I do this job. To be able to make a small difference to help them through is a very rewarding feeling and I have felt very humbled by my meetings with Christine.

Thank you so much for the lovely gesture and I hope I get to see you again!
